so much has happened since july and i dont know where i should begin. before i know it, august has crept up on me and that spells a final 3 weeks till school officially starts. has summer melted away at such great speed? how did it get late so soon? but i'm feeling good these days. the kind of good that i've long forgotten how it must feel. it's strange how a twist of fate can throw me off my supposed path and usher in new beginnings. although i do not deny, tough days are awaiting. i can only pray that this affection we share is strong enough to see us through.

alright that's enough musing. back to some solid details of what has been going on in my mundane life, occasionally peppered with interesting events to keep me hanging on till the 25th.

work with rhonda dear @ the Asian Food Delight 2008, Singapore Expo Hall
from 1st-3rd august.
baby came early in the morning to pick me up for work. he isnt exactly a morning person to begin with, so i really appreciate it (:
nothing much happened during work just that we both were hot & bothered by noon although i must say, highlight of that day was definitely:
I LOST MY FREAKING WALLET ):
how upsetting really and i just hope the person who stole it to suffer sleepless nights, get food poisoning, fall into the toilet bowl or anything.
))))):
now i have to get myself a new wallet, replace everything important. already i have half a mind to not have my IC done, it costs like a hundred bucks?! and for what, to make myself look awful/ black & white on a sheet of plastic? At least they should provide some kind of photoshop-ping service for that exorbitant price they're charging.
i am upset, STILL.

baby made my day by springing up unannounced at my workplace the next day. We were messaging.

M: I am so tired... ): what're you doing now dear?
J: Watching tv what else. haha. how's your flyer? have you had your lunch?

I was miserable and all lethargic, i remember and could hardly bother with surroundings. I've yet to reply to his message either. And thats when he crept up from behind me, instantly chasing them blues away. I never felt so happy/relieved seeing him, think i literally jumped into his arms. haha. so much for watching tv my dear (:
the silly boy repeated his little trick but with a slightly different excuse on my last day of work too. this time around, it was "i'm drinking coffee" and next thing i knew, he was right behind me.

rhon took it while we were goofing around at work. as always, WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY.

thank you baby! you have no idea how much you made work easier to endure. and rhonrhon, it was fun working with you & bitching about everything current. i'm glad those days at work allowed us time to do some good catching up. keep your chin up girl! a fresh beginning is just around the corner.

2nd august, baby's mom/grandma invited me along for his grandfather 75th birthday celebration. At 7pm i found myself sitting down at a private dinner held at Noble House. Great food, friendly people & amusing entertainment helped calm some nerves. His dad was seriously hilarious & an awesome host at that. Oh not forgetting, i had to walk up front and using the microphone, give my blessings to his grandfather like how all the other grandkids did. We were reminded to be creative so it was horrible being the last because everything else has been said!
At the end of that night, i was as known as the cat because dear grandma couldn't pronounce my name ):

this entry shall come to an abrupt end because i'm feeling drained from such tedious updates.
for more photos, to facebook you go.

mel, out.
